A Crash Course in Political Advocacy

As churches we are called to promote social justice, but what's the best way to work the system so good ideas become government policy? Asante Haughton and Rachel Bromberg successfully lobbied the Toronto Police to set up mental health crisis teams, in reaction to the killing of George Floyd by the police in Minneapolis. They will draw on their experience with the Toronto police and the city government to explain strategies to lobby governments to create change.
